What a delight to open an unsuspecting atelier door and find a room full of bright natural colors.  
It's always a pleasure to travel to another country and meet local artisans like Magali Bontoux, an expert in natural dyes and fibers.

E' sempre un piacere viaggiare e conoscere artigiani locali come Magali Bontoux, un'esperta in tinture e fibre naturale. 
She dyes all sorts of materials from silks to hemp and wool. 
She also paints beautiful silk scarves, makes natural felt rugs and travels the area organizing workshops for people of all ages. 

Tinge tutti tipi di materiali naturali come la seta, la canapa e la lana. 
Dipinge bellissime sciarpe di seta, fa tappeti di feltro e viaggia per tutta la zona organizzando laboratori per persone di tutte le età.
 
 
It was a real treat to spend some time with Magali, visit her atelier and have her show me where she gets her inspiration for her designs.
Why don't you pay her a visit if you're in the neighborhood?

 E' stato veramente simpatico poter trascorrere un po' di tempo con Magali. Mi ha spiegato dove prende la sua ispirazione per i suoi disegni.

The Col de Perty had awoken with a light veil of snow.  The Alps are in the distance just behind those clouds.
If you're into cycling, this is an excellent area: stunning landscape, hairpin turns and NO cars.

Sul Col de Perty, nella distanza, dietro le nuvole ci sono le Alpi.
Se ti piace andare in bicicletta questo è una ottima zona per fare ciò: tanti tornanti, paesaggio spettacolare e NIENTE macchine.
 I braved the snow for just a couple of minutes to get that spectacular view of the valley.

 Ho resistito al freddo e gelo per un paio di minuti per fotografare quella bellissima valle.

One day I drove through Montbrun-les-Bains.  Have you ever been there?
It's an enchanting little city with a very nice thermal spa which is where I hung out for the entire afternoon.

 Un giorno sono passata per Montbrun-les-Bains.  Sei mai stato lì?  E un paesino incantevole ed ha un bell'impianto di acqua termale.  Ho passato tutto il pomeriggio lì!
A dear friend of mine asked me to design some cupcake toppers and garland for her wedding in May.  So I got out my watercolors and went at it.

 Una mia cara amica mi chiese di farli delle decorazioni per il suo matrimonio in Maggio.  Ho tirato fuori i miei acquerelli e voilà!
Her friends liked them so much that I decided to list them in my Etsy Shop. 

 Sono piaciuti alle sue amiche e così ho deciso di metterli come prodotto nel mio Etsy Shop.

Let's just say that winter really never arrived this year.  It's been wet and has never frozen.
